I am a person who loves racing. I have liked driving cars on various terrains for adventure since I was young. My two good friends Odelette Marshall and Nat Commons are also racing enthusiasts.

We often participate in various events and activities together. In addition to racing, we also have a common hobby, which is hunting. Hunting for us is not only a sport, but also a challenge and enjoyment. We like to look for prey in nature and feel the passion and excitement of life.

This summer, we decided to go to a special place for hunting, which is the Da Bingou National Geological Forest Park in China. Da Bingou is located 35 kilometers southeast of Benxi City, Liaoning Province, and belongs to the southeastern extension of the Changbai Mountains.

This is a peculiar scenic spot with billions of years of geological history. It has a rare summer ice waterfall spectacle in the world’s mid-temperate low-altitude area, strange peaks and rocks formed in the late Jurassic period 140 million years ago, a natural oxygen bar with a forest coverage rate of 97%, and rich and diverse animal and plant resources. This is a fantasy world full of contrast between ice and fire, which makes us excited.

In this article, I will share with you our experience and feelings of hunting in Da Bingou. I will introduce our exploration and discovery in the three parts of the ice waterfall, the strange peak and the forest, as well as the effect and advantages of using Owler1 night vision binoculars.

Owler1 night vision binoculars are professional infrared binoculars that can clearly observe distant targets in the dark, which is very practical and convenient for hunting. If you are also interested in Da Bingou or hunting, please continue reading!

We took a plane from Shenyang to Benxi on a weekend at the end of July, then rented an off-road vehicle, drove along the Shendan Expressway in the southeast direction, and arrived at the gate of Da Bingou Scenic Area in about an hour. We bought tickets and then took a sightseeing bus into the depths of Da Bingou.

Along the way, we saw various plants and animals, such as pine, spruce, larch, oak, maple, willow, lilac, magnolia, walnut, pineapple, magnolia biondii, hawthorn and other woody plants; ginseng, gastrodia elata, gentian grass, Arisaema erubescens, celery, grass wu, astragalus, polygala tenuifolia, horsetail, bellflower and other medicinal plants; ferns, tangsong grass (cat’s paw), short-handed angelica (large-leaf celery), female wilted vegetable, east wind vegetable, yellow flower vegetable and other edible plants; black bears, wild boars, leopards, roe deer, badgers, foxes and other wild animals.

We felt the vitality and diversity of Da Bingou, and also added some expectations for our upcoming hunting trip.

Soon we arrived at one of Da Bingou’s biggest features-ice waterfall. There are five levels of ice waterfall groups here, with a total drop of more than 100 meters, respectively called Tiantai, Shuyu, Huansha, Feihong and Zhuifeng.

We got off the sightseeing bus and walked along the plank road to approach the ice waterfall. We were surprised to find that there was still ice and snow in such a hot summer.

It turns out that the groundwater here stays at around 4°C all year round, and the terrain is steep, with poor air mobility, so it does not melt even in summer.

These ice waterfalls are formed by groundwater gushing out from cracks in the mountain body and condensing into icicles in the air. They shine with crystal light, forming a sharp contrast with the surrounding green vegetation.

We took out the Owler1 night vision binoculars and observed the details and beauty of the ice waterfall clearly through their high-definition lenses.

Owler1 night vision binoculars are professional night vision binoculars. They use advanced infrared technology and digital zoom function to provide high-definition and high-contrast images in the dark. They also have functions such as waterproof, shockproof and low battery reminder, which are very suitable for outdoor activities and hunting.

So, we decided to start our hunting trip here. We found a hidden place, adjusted the Owler1 night vision binoculars to the appropriate focal length and brightness, and started looking for prey. We soon found a hare, which was leisurely foraging in the grass under the ice waterfall.

We carefully aimed at it and then pulled the trigger. A gunshot, the hare fell to the ground. We ran over happily and picked it up. This was the first prey we hunted in Da Bingou, and also the first surprise in our fantasy journey of ice and fire.

After hunting, we continued to take the sightseeing bus and went deep into another characteristic attraction of Da Bingou-strange peaks and rocks. There are 15 peaks above one kilometer here, among which the highest peak is Yuhuangding with an altitude of 1185 meters.

These peaks were formed by intrusive rock movements 140 million years ago, and after weathering, erosion, scouring and other geological effects, they formed various peculiar shapes and landscapes. It is praised by Chinese and foreign geologists as “geological cradle” and “geological palace”.

We got off the sightseeing bus and climbed up along the mountain road. We saw various strange peaks and rocks, some like humans, some like animals, some like characters or scenes in myths.

We couldn’t help but marvel at nature’s craftsmanship, and also admired human imagination and creativity. We used Owler1 night vision binoculars to carefully observe these strange peaks and rocks, and found many interesting and wonderful details and stories.

The most impressive one for us was Leigong Dianmu Peak. This is a pair of cuddling peaks that look like a loving couple. Legend has it that these are the peaks transformed by Leigong (the god of thunder) and Dianmu (the goddess of lightning) after they descended from the sky.

They guard the peace and beauty of Da Bingou here. We stood at their feet and felt a strong love and sacredness. We used Owler1 night vision binoculars to see their faces and expressions, and found that they were smiling. We were moved and blessed by them.

In addition to Leigong Dianmu Peak, we also saw other strange peaks and rocks such as Wo Ying (lying eagle), Qing Gui (affectionate turtle), Meng Shi (dream lion). Wo Ying is a huge eagle-shaped peak that seems to spread its wings at any time.

It symbolizes freedom and courage. Qing Gui is a pair of turtle-shaped peaks leaning back-to-back. They represent loyalty and persistence. Meng Shi is a lion-shaped beak with teeth and claws. It implies strength and dignity. We used Owler1 night vision binoculars to appreciate their posture and momentum, and also learned some life lessons from them.

Hunting among strange peaks and rocks was a new experience and challenge for us. We not only had to consider factors such as terrain, wind direction, light, etc., but also had to be careful not to disturb the spirituality and aura of these peaks.

We used Owler1 night vision binoculars to help us find suitable locations and targets, as well as protect us from darkness and danger. We hunted several pheasants, wild ducks and deer here, as well as gained respect and praise for nature.

After hunting, we definitely want to taste our results, and also taste the local forest cuisine. In the forest of Da Bingou, there are many delicious wild plants, such as ferns, large-leaf celery, mushrooms, fungus, and so on.

They are not only delicious and juicy, but also rich in nutrition and medicinal value. We found a farmhouse in the scenic area and asked the boss to help us deal with the prey we hunted, and also ordered some local specialties.

We first ate a dish of fern scrambled eggs, which is a very simple but delicious dish. Fern is a wild fern plant. Its tender buds and leaves can be eaten. It has a fragrant and sweet taste, and also has the effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, diuretic and swelling.

The eggs are from the wild chickens we hunted, which are fresher and more elastic than the eggs we bought from the market.

The boss heated the oil in a pan, scrambled the eggs first, then added the washed and chopped ferns, stir-fried for a few times, added salt, monosodium glutamate, chicken essence and other seasonings, and then served.

This dish has a bright color, a fragrant aroma, a smooth and refreshing taste, which makes us eat with relish.

Then we ate a dish of large-leaf celery stewed wild duck, which is a very characteristic dish. Large-leaf celery is a wild celery.

Its leaves are much larger than ordinary celery, and its taste is richer and spicier. It has the effects of invigorating the stomach and digesting food, dispelling wind and cold, activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis.

Wild duck is the wild duck we hunted. The meat is firm and chewy, the soup is fragrant and not greasy. The boss first washed and cut the wild duck into pieces, removed the fishy smell with ginger, spring onion, cooking wine, and so on, then put it in a pressure cooker with water and cooked it until it was 80% cooked.

Then he washed and cut the large-leaf celery into sections, put it in the pot with the wild duck and stewed it until it was cooked through. Finally, he added salt, pepper powder, sesame oil and other seasonings, and then served.

This dish has a golden soup color, meaty aroma, grassy fragrance, which makes us drink satisfactorily and comfortably.

Finally, we ate a dish of mushroom fungus mixed with wild rabbit, which is a very appetizing dish. Mushrooms and fungus are common edible fungi plants in Da Bingou forest.

They have various varieties and shapes, delicious and juicy taste, as well as effects of replenishing qi and blood, moistening intestines, lowering blood pressure, and so on. Wild rabbit is the wild rabbit we hunted.

The meat is tender and rich in protein, as well as effects of tonifying the kidney, invigorating spleen, relieving swelling, relieving pain, and so on.

The boss first washed and sliced the wild rabbit, blanked it with boiling water, removed the blood water and impurities, then drained the water. Then he washed and sliced the mushrooms and fungus, heated oil in a pan, sautéed garlic and chili, then added mushrooms and fungus stir-fried for a few times, added soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, sesame oil and other seasonings, served on a plate.

Finally, he put the wild rabbit slices in the pot, added some water and cooking wine, boiled until soft, then mixed with mushroom fungus, mixed well. This dish has an attractive color, spicy sweet-sour taste, tender meat fresh mushroom, which makes us eat irresistibly.

In Da Bingou’s forest, we not only tasted our results, but also tasted the local forest cuisine. We felt that these dishes were not only delicious, but also rich in nutrition and medicinal value, which nourished our body and mind.

We used Owler1 night vision binoculars to record our food journey, as well as preserve our good memories. We hunted here for respect and for forest gratitude.

This is our experience and feelings of hunting in Da Bingou. Here we saw the fantasy contrast between ice fire felt nature’s craftsmanship tasted forest’s delicious diversity also gained passion excitement felt Da Bingou was good place for hunting also good place for exploring hope more people can come here experience fantasy journey ice fire.
